Have the ability to work independently with minimal oversight and have a demonstrated ability to follow through on projects in a timely manner.
Have a genuine interest in learning the role of in-house IP counsel in a fast-paced global corporate environment.
Have strong desire to build skills in contracting engagement and review process.
Are comfortable performing legal research and drafting memoranda for various matters pertaining to the organization.
What You’ll Be Doing
Under attorney supervision, draft and review office action responses, issue spot and comment/redline office action responses, patent applications, and other legal documents.
Support invention disclosures intake, technology classification of disclosures and patent applications.
Assist the IP Team with freedom-to-operate & patentability search and analysis,.
Perform other tasks and special projects related to the IP function.
Report on your progress in a timely manner.
Rising 2L or 3L currently enrolled full-time at an accredited law school.
Interest in learning about role of in-house counsel.
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, biomechanical engineering, material science and engineering, medical devices and instrumentation engineering, biomedical physics, and physics.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Additional Information
