Job Duties: Vice President, Software Engineering with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in Wilmington, Delaware. Develop, enhance, support, and maintain the Firm’s software solutions in support of its global businesses. Design and implement high-quality, scalable, and thoughtful technology solutions leveraging both internal and open-source services. Own requirements gathering, user story refinement, development, testing (unit, integration, and regression), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and deployment. Work with internal teams to develop solution designs. Identify new external technologies that can be used to transform our financial businesses and internal platforms in innovative and disruptive ways. Work in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to meet internal and regulatory requirements. Design, implement and maintain robust testing suites to enable safe, complete, and scalable solutions across our business lines. Provide training and guidance to junior team members. Lead the design and implementation of a system that ensures operational excellence and integrates seamlessly with business processes. Oversee the development and integration of cloud and container technologies. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders. Demonstrate deep technical expertise in programming and system design.
Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Science or Systems, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in job offered or a related software engineering role orBachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Science or Systems, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in job offered or a related software engineering role. Prior experience must include three (3) years of experience (with a Master’s degree) OR five (5) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s degree) with: full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and production support; building multi-threaded and multi-process service-oriented Java enterprise applications within a Unix environment; programming technologies including Java, Python, Bash Shell Script, Spring, AngularJs, ReactJs, Hibernate, and Kafka; relational database management system (RDBMS) such as MySQL or Oracle; micro-services architecture design and development including REST, Java, Spring, or other back-end technologies; database query languages, including SQL or NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB; development toolsets including Jenkins, BitBucket, Maven, and BlackDuck; integrated development environments such as IntelliJ and Eclipse; test frameworks including Junit, Mockito, Selenium, and Cucumber; and application performance monitoring with tools including Grafana, Kibana, Dynatrace, and AppDynamics.
