Military Health Research and Acquisition SME
Key Role:
Conduct and apply advanced health science expertise and advanced academic research skills to science and technology client challenges, specifically in military healthcare settings. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts. Contribute to the development
of new principles and concepts. Work on complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Mentor or supervise employees in both firm and technical competencies.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in military health research, clinical research, medical research and development, lifecycle management of biomedical product development, government and private funding opportunities and collaborations, military acquisitions, or translational research
- Experience with DoD or Acquisition Policy
- Knowledge of military medical research and development portfolios and delivery of healthcare solutions across the continuum of care for military members and their families
- Knowledge of planning, programming, budgeting, and execution processes and governance for Defense Health Program Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) Funding, development of spending plans, and allocation of research funding
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, perform project management support, and guide leadership in decision-making and policy recommendations
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Health Sciences
Additional Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with DoD acquisition procedure, including writing, analysis, and review
- Experience with the Defense Health Agency or military healthcare organizations is a plus
- Knowledge of program management, business development, and strategic planning in the healthcare industry
- Ability to analyze, assess, and coordinate DoD acquisition program documentation, including acquisition strategy, acquisition program baseline, and acquisition decision memorandums
- Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
