Job Duties and Qualifications

With general autonomy, is responsible for strategic direction and portfolio mix of the product group.
Understands and strategically plans for the future demands of the market place.
Manages the resources responsible for portfolio management, product development, commercialization, and marketing of new products.
Works with the technology group to ensure appropriate research and development is in place to meet the needs of the strategic product group.
Identifies new business opportunities that enhance the performance of the product group.
Works with the Innovation & Marketing Intellectual Property group to ensure freedom to operate within the strategic group.
Identifies new product and business opportunities and industry and competitor changes that may require new strategies or revisions of the business plan.

Requirements:

Requires an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent field experience (minimum 10 years) and detailed technical knowledge and application of products in the PSL or product group, strategic planning and/or market analysis skills, and management experience.
Other skills required include, business and financial skills, significant industry understanding, organizational knowledge, and ability to work with all levels of the organization.
