PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment. Complies with all PPE standards and is aware of all safety practices.
- Read and interpret plans from engineers.
- Select and manage required materials.
- Tie all roof framing to the top plates with connectors, tie down beams and truss girders at each end of header. Use connectors and nails to tie and connect load tables, Drill holes in foundation, apply ties and epoxy the concrete. Install straps and clips and secure in place.
- Must be able to use a wide variety of hand and power tools, including power tools and basic hand tools, also must understand use and maintenance of all trade specific tools and equipment.
- Lift and carry heavy objects and materials
- Understand building codes.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Has at least 5 years of experience in a General Carpentry trade.
- Understanding of structural engineering plans, building concepts, codes, regulations, laws and best practices.
- Is a team player.
- Is detail oriented.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Must be able to prove eligibility to work in the United States.
- Current driver’s license and clean driving record
- 40+ hours weekly.
- Good communication skills
- English Fluency (Bilingual Spanish is a plus)
