Position Overview

The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing financial operations and strategy, and collaborating with leaders to achieve the company’s financial achievement and growth commitments.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide financial analysis, forecasts and identify areas for improvement
• Develop accurate and comprehensive financial forecasts to guide resource allocation and identify areas for improvement.
• Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of financial plans and budgets.

• Review and analyze budget performance, identify variances, and work with the leadership to address deviations and to optimize resource allocation.
• Oversee business analytics, preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports.
• Monitor cash flow, including forecasting and optimizing positions to support operations.

• Participate in annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish financial targets and allocate resources effectively. 
• Partner with business leadership supporting timely collection of accounts receivables.
• Recommend benchmarks to measure the performance of company operations.
• Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
• Conduct financial analyses as needed, particularly for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
• Develop reporting and modeling capabilities.
• Assist in the monthly close process.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure their professional development and alignment with departmental goals.
• Collaborate with other departments to align financial management strategies with overall company objectives.
• Monitor industry trends, financial regulations, and best practices to continuously improve financial processes and systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or a similar field; healthcare industry highly preferred
• Must have 2 years’ experience in a managerial position
• Proficient in Microsoft suite of products including Outlook, Word, and Excel

Environment

• Performs duties in an office environment during agency operating hours
• Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments, which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions
