DHL Same Day is a 24/7/365 international expedited transportation company that is part of DHL Global Forwarding. Our corporate office is located in Sterling, VA. We are looking to hire an experienced Life Science Specialist to support our team.

Key Activities:

· Manage incoming and outgoing calls

· Manage/process inbound and outbound email requests in a timely manner

· Provide solution based routings and process domestic international and LS shipments

· Process airline booking requests

· Process job orders

· Proactive monitoring of all shipment milestones while in transit

· Communicate shipment delays to internal/external customers

· Troubleshoot problem shipments for quick resolution

· Track/trace missing shipments with airlines

· Escalate service issues or critical situations to Supervisor/lead on duty

· Provide best customer experience

· International awareness of INCO terms

· Manage broker communication

· Adherence to SOPs and work instructions

· Complete understanding of Life Science Customer SOP

· Manage broker communication

· Clear understanding of TCP expectations

· Other job duties as assigned

Requirements include:

• Experience in customer service and dispatch functions
• Strong knowledge of international shipping requirements
• Experienced in handling domestic and international shipments
• Trained in handling of Life Science shipments
• Good knowledge of geography and time zones
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
• Teamwork and flexibility with 24/7/365
