Job Abstract

This position is responsible for assuring that the Continuing Medical Education initiative is supporting high quality, community-based CME for providers, internal and in the community. The efforts help to support the Frederick Community and improve prevention and treatment efforts, care, and recovery. It assures accreditation of this initiative through the ACCME which designates state medical societies accreditors of local CME organizations and coordinates efforts of the Post-graduate Education and Medical Library Committee. The position is responsible for providing assistance with finding medical documents including: Clinical trials, medical treatments or procedures, as well as other pertinent medical information requested by staff members. Specializes in using databases and reference materials to conduct research for medical information is also a responsibility. The position is also responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, evaluation, and revision of programs aimed at orientation and ongoing development of the medical staff.

Required: Bachelor of Science in a science field with experience in literature searches. Ability to communicate effectively with physician literature request needs.
