NV5 Geospatial is actively recruiting a Senior GlS Analyst to provide management support and technical expertise in the use of GIS and integration with complementary business processes and systems for a large Federal Agency.

Work Environment:

• Location: Onsite at Federal Agency in Houston, TX
• Travel up to 10% of the time

• Provide management support and technical expertise in the use of GIS and integration with complementary business processes and systems
• Collect functional requirements, analyzes, and documents business workflows and designs/creates GIS processes, tools and products to support business needs
• Create GIS databases and end user support
• Create documentation on data and workflows
• Conduct testing of GIS applications and performs QA/QC on data, processes, and workflows
• May act as supervisor and/or lead a data development, analysis and/or support team on a specific project

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Geography/GIS or related field*
• 6+ years of technical experience with ArcGIS **
• Ability to obtain Federal Security Clearance (US Citizenship required)

Experience Preferred (in addition to requirements):

• Knowledge of Federal data standards including FGDC and SDSFIE

Competencies and Skills:

• Ability to implement GIS technologies, specifically Esri, in an enterprise environment
• Ability to analyze business processes and migrate to GIS
• In depth knowledge of GIS data development, editing and quality control procedures
• Demonstrated ability to work productively with a wide range of people
• Able to translate technical concepts into layman’s terms
• Able to coordinate with program stakeholders
• Self-motivated, pro-active, and ability to multi-task
• Ability to plan, organize and manage project schedules, tasks, deliverables, and staff
• A real passion for working with teammates and customers to solve problems
