Our client is a growing pump manufacturing and engineering company located in New Haven. We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join the team. This person is responsible for providing support in order handling and customer support, to both external and internal customers. Partner with various departments through the lifecycle of an order to ultimately meet customers'expectations. Respond to all customer inquiries in a timely fashion.
Responsibilities:
Receives and enter customer orders. Verifies pricing, lead times, and terms. Ensures all orders are entered accurately and on time.
Enters orders in ERP system and follows them up with order acknowledgment to customer.
Participates in ensuring customer information is accurate in ERP system.
Communicates with customers through professional verbal and written communications, concerning all aspects of their order.
Partners with the outside sales team, taking new orders, providing order updates and raising concerns on the status of an order.
Collaborates with the team of application engineers to verify information on quotes and ensure all required information is compiled to enter the order.
Works with planners and supply chain as it relates to inventory needs for an order and any potential impact to lead times.
Liaises with production, warehouse and logistics teams to track order status.
Compile internal reports as required relating to order status and updates.
Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in customer service or sales-oriented environment, technical environment preferred.
Ability to use computers and software programs including, MS Office and ERP system (preferably Business Central).
Highly skilled in telephone and email etiquette.
1 st Shift: Mon –Fri;8-4: 30
Pay Rate: $20-22/hr We have worked w/ this customer for several years and they have an excellent track record of bringing temps on permanent and doing things like paying temps for weather related closures and even paid inflation bonuses because they value their employees and appreciate their commitment.
