Pridestaff is currently seeking a Load/Unloader (Freight Handler) for a distribution warehouse located in Redlands, CA. This is a temporary seasonal position with potential for hire. Please see job requirements below to be considered.
Pay Rate: $16.10 -17.10
Shift: Wednesday-Saturday , 7am to 5:30pm (4,10 schedule)
Job Summary:
The Freight Handler is responsible for assisting with overall warehouse operations including but not limited to loading, unloading, and stacking products to/from pallets, floor, or racks. Other duties assigned by Warehouse Operations Management.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
Load, unload and stack merchandise onto or from pallets, floor, or racks by hand.
Separate merchandise for shipment to warehouse location or according to management’s instructions.
Maintain integrity of products through proper handling.
Apply appropriate labels to pallet or carton.
Apply shrink-wrap to pallets of merchandise.
Transport merchandise directly to shipping as required.
Use a scanner to process merchandise for accurate inventory and location tracking.
Follow company policies and procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.
1+ years’ experience required in a similar role in the warehouse environment.
Experience operating warehouse equipment, Reach and Forklift strongly preferred.
Possess basic mathematical skills.
Ability to stand on feet frequently for long periods of time.
Ability to lift weights of up to 50 pounds on a continual basis.
Ability to safely operate pallet jack.
Ability to meet quota demands.
Must be willing to submit to criminal background check prior to start.
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
