This position is a Contract position for 6-12 months. The University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Medical Center is seeking an Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (IONM) Fellow interested in obtaining training for a career in IONM. This position targets two distinct classes of candidates: Transition and Clinical Classes. The Transition Class candidate possesses a doctorate in advanced scientific or medical background and seeks didactic and clinical training in order to transition into the field of IONM. The Clinical Class candidate possesses an undergraduate degree with didactic training in IONM, but seeks clinical experience to become credentialed in IONM. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Please note: An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.

Coursework in anatomy, electrophysiology, neuroscience &/or medicine.
Experience with research methodology and scientific publications.
Potential to qualify for DABNM after meeting experience prerequisites (Transition-Class).
Language mapping or neuropsychological testing experience.
Transition-Class: Doctorate degree in physical science, life science or clinical allied health profession (Ph.D., M.D., D.O., D.C.,Au.D. and D.Pt.) OR
Clinical-Class: Undergraduate degree in physical science, life science or clinical allied health profession (B.A. or B.S.) with a specialization in IONM.
Strong computer literacy.
Literacy and Fluency in English; Clear, concise written documentation and interpersonal communication skills.
