Position Summary
The Graduate Enrollment Services department within the Graduate School of Arts & Science at New York University, seeks an Administrative Aide II to support students on enrollment matters and serve as a liaison with current and prospective students as well as University personnel. The Administrative Aide II will develop a comprehensive knowledge of the departments policies and programs, and perform a range of clerical duties, including responding to general inquiries, prioritizing office activities and delegating work to students. Create, enhance, and update the department's website and assist with social media campaigns. Customize and/or compose letters on own initiative or in response to requests for information. Perform general word processing duties utilizing intermediate to advanced-level functions. Modify and/or create databases and complex spreadsheets.
Qualifications
Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience: 3+ years
Preferred Experience: 2 years of office experience (with Associate's degree). 1 year of office experience (with Bachelor's degree).
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Proficiency with intermediate to advanced word processing, spreadsheet and database applications. Moderate to fast, accurate keyboarding. Good proofreading and writing skills.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Proficiency with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office or proficiency with Apple. Knowledge of desktop publishing software. Knowledge of Access.
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is USD $36.529. This rate is based on bargaining unit contracts. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
