Job Summary/Basic Function
The Office of Visual & Performing Arts is seeking students to assist with a variety of technical tasks associated with its live productions at the Ware (in Lancaster City) and Winter (on campus) Centers.
Required Qualifications
Experienced in operating electronics and computer-based systems
Able to multi-task
Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Accurate and attentive to detail

Must complete 3 required clearances (PA Criminal Background, Child Abuse History, and FBI Fingerprints)
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in sound, lighting, and AV technical support for live events is desirable.
Job Duties
This position will assist in the following, but is not limited to:
· Providing Technical Support during Events including operating the lighting and sound systems, setting up equipment, hanging lights, building sets, etc. Ensures all elements are prepared for an event. Assist clients/artists with use as needed. Address any needs that arise.
· Projectionist: run film projector for film series events; set sound level; and troubleshoot problems.
· Back of House Management including stage managing to coordinate with the performers, house management & technicians.
· Front of House Assistance, including greeting guests, coordinating lobby operation, opening doors, ushing, coordinating with back of house and technicians.
· Event Setup: Prepare and restore spaces around events.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Available to work evenings and weekends.
Able to lift 50 lbs.
