Essential Job Duties: The Supervisor will be responsible for touring the hospital periodically covering each assigned area to observe cleaning crews at work and to determine the instructions are followed and safety rules are observed. Is responsible for ensuring that the Environmental Services Department maintains the physical facilities in a clean, safe, and orderly condition in support of quality patient care. Assist in planning daily assignment schedules to include established routines, as well as special areas to be cleaned and maintained. Keeps personnel records on employees such as hours worked, attendance, absences, vacation, and wage data for payroll. Assists the EVS Director in preparing budgets, work reports, and other maintenance of all statistical data and reporting systems as required by the director, including linen studies, square footage studies, productivity reports, etc. Works with manager and staff to maintain an inventory of cleaning material supplies and equipment and prepares requisitions for replacement of depleted items and those in need of repair.
