Under direct supervision, performs basic operational support and routine clerical duties at the County solid waste landfill site; operates a computerized scale, related computer software to weigh materials brought for waste disposal, and determines fees; checks waste loads in order to verify charges and monitor for inappropriate items; utilizes a cash register and credit card equipment to collect and receipt fees for the public; provides instructions and disposal information to the public; maintains records associated with the landfill site; and performs related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Licensing and Certifications:
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate valid California Driver’s License.
Education and Experience:
One (1) year of full-time experience handling cash and/or maintaining financial records, which included significant public contact.
