POSITION SUMMARY: The Data Analyst assists the Dean of Institutional Research and Effectiveness by analyzing and coordinating data to support the functions of the University.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Surveys
Schedule Surveys
Enter survey template into survey system
Coordinate survey distribution
Monitor survey completion
Prepare survey results and analysis presentation
Assessment
Send calendar reminders with upcoming due dates
Build SLO forms for reporting
Update the Assessment Site with report submissions
Assist with updating Curriculum Maps
Schedule Program Reviews (scheduling with department, room reservation, Zoom, etc.)
Compile Program Review sections
Publish Program Reviews
Prepare End-of-Course Surveys for each course
Make End-of-Course Results accessible to program directors and faculty
Coordinate scheduling of E-Proficiency Profile Exams
Share results of E-Proficiency Profile Exams with Advisors
Assist with proctoring of E-Proficiency Profile Exams
Accreditation
Schedule meetings for faculty/staff serving on criterion committees
Upload and link evidence into the Assurance Argument System
Send reminders about updates needed to the criterion committees
Data Requests
Monitor, track, and respond to data requests
Assist with cleaning/sanitizing data
Develop charts and graphs to represent data and trends
Post data, analysis, and/or reports for appropriate campus constituents, as applicable
Pull reports from Jenzabar
Assist with completing annual reports, including IPEDS and the HLC Institutional Update
Assist with the annual development and update of the University Fact Book
Retention
Record retention data
Generate comparative retention reports
Maintain documentation of numerical retention goals for each program
Maintain documentation of retention activity from Retention D3 form
Develop reports for metrics related to enrollment, retention, graduation, completion, and student performance
Overall
Assist with staff training and development in areas related to data collection, data management, and data analysis.
Support institutional data needs for strategic decision-making, enrollment planning, student success, and evaluation of program effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS: Meet the technical qualifications for the position, ability to explain data concepts, ability to think through processes from a user and technical standpoint
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in the area of mathematics, data analytics, or computer science
COMPUTER SKILLS: Advanced Excel skills required; Google Sheets skills required; basic understanding of coding and programming preferred
