As an Account Manager, you’ll work under the guidance of the Area Manager. Your responsibilities include directing and coordinating activities to enhance operational efficiency, maximize profits, and improve individual skills within the operations workforce. Whether personally performing duties or delegating to subordinate staff, you focus on achieving optimal results.
Pay: $75,000 - $85,000 / year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure all day-to-day operations are operating within the procedures set forth by the company. These operational categories include recruiting, hiring, security licensing, training, scheduling, event day operations, and administrative responsibilities.
Under the direction of the Area Manager, responsible for the creation of staffing estimates – tracking estimated cost vs. actual cost; review of contracts for compliance; supervision of company labor and subcontractors; ensuring accurate payroll, invoices, and timely collections.
Suggest operation strategies to the Area Manager that improve execution and cost-effectively provide additional value; seeks to continuously improve the state of account(s) while safeguarding the company.
Effectively communicate goals to the event-day operations team communicate with the wider organization, where applicable, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records necessary for processing internal and external reports.
Proactively communicate with and seek feedback from all customers. Seek to continuously improve customer satisfaction; meet with customers regularly to ensure we are meeting their needs; share updates with leadership.
Supervise and coach subordinates in a manner that maintains morale, skills proficiency, and productivity. Managerial responsibilities include but are not limited to mentoring, coaching, and developing subordinates; planning, assigning, and directing work. Recruit and train team members as required by business needs.
Responsible for the accurate (within 98%) and timely completion of all payroll records at the designated account(s)
Responsible for accurate and timely scheduling of staff, ensuring all open position(s) are filled within 96 hours of shift start time at the designated account(s)
Adhere to budget(s) set forth including, but not limited to; overtime percentages (below 2%), labor percentages, profit rate, open post rate, and revenue within account(s).
On-call weekends/evenings, outside of core business hours as needed.
Up to 25% travel may be required.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid Driver’s License Required
Education: Holds a bachelor’s degree in a related field or possesses equivalent experience.
Experience: Has a minimum of three years of prior experience in venue operations, service field, or project management.
Background Check: Ability to successfully pass a background check.
Preferred Industry Knowledge: Experience in one or more of the following industries is advantageous: event staffing, event security, stadium security, sports management, or athletics.
Excellent Management Skills: Demonstrates proficiency in overseeing and coordinating tasks efficiently.
Customer Focus: Remains attuned to the needs and desires of both internal and external customers.
Effective Communication: Possesses strong oral and written communication abilities.
Leadership Orientation: Actively serves as a role model, guide, and mentor within the Operations Department. Exhibits robust team leadership, team building, and facilitation skills.
Initiative: Proactively seeks out new project opportunities.
Adaptability: Responds adeptly to changes in situations or information.
Physical and Mental Demands: In this role, you’ll regularly engage in sitting, standing, and walking. Effective verbal communication is essential, and you may occasionally need physical agility for climbing and working at heights. Be prepared for confined spaces and exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Additionally, lifting and pushing objects weighing up to 25 pounds is part of the job, along with specific visual abilities.
