Liberated Brands is looking for a temporary Credit Associate to join our team! Take a lead role in the success of the credit, collections and finance functions for new brand integrations and development. Oversee the customer accounts AR activities by performing the following duties. Reviews and updates customers' account information and credit activities. Assists management in the formulation of credit policies. Establishes credit limitations on customer accounts by reviewing sales orders / fore... more detailscasts and special credit arrangements and deviations from standard terms of payment. Investigating and verifying financial status and reputation of prospective customers applying for credit, preparing documents to substantiate findings, and recommending rejection or approval of applications. Reviews collection reports to ascertain status of collections and balances outstanding and to evaluate effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures. Audits delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectible to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before assigning bad debt status to account. Calls and/or mails correspondence to customers, as necessary, in order to update accounts. Obtains and mails invoice copies for customers, as requested. Researches and processes customer claims of invoice payment, returns, charge backs, bad checks and other activity. Answers accounts receivable phone inquiries and follows up. Coordinates with others, including personnel in company branches and credit card companies, to exchange information and update controls. Submits delinquent accounts to attorney or outside agency for collection. Research/investigate/dispute/process chargeback's for accounts. Maintain positive relationship with accounts & sales teams. Maintain & update A/ R aging on a weekly basis. Other duties as assigned WHAT YOU'LL NEED:Experience with most/all: order-to-cash (O 2 C), bank reconciliations / account receivable (AR) reconciliation, cash applications, chargeback resolution. Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong plus: Experience in the apparel industry (Full Circle, etc.)Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Must demonstrate strong organizational skills. Exhibit strong, collaborative leadership qualities that can bridge across multiple disciplines. This position requires some hours at our office in Costa Mesa, CA; however, some duties can be performed remotely.
