Job Description
The Finance Manager is responsible for leading the financial analysis and reporting functions to support strategic decision-making across the organization. May oversee the work of a financial analyst, providing guidance and direction on financial analysis and reporting. They are tasked with providing insightful data-driven analysis, forecasting, and recommendations to the leadership team. The Finance Manager plays a key role in translating complex financial information into actionable business intelligence. This position performs a variety of financial activities including budgeting, building financial models, performing research and analysis, providing financial and administrative management of multiple contracts from contract award through contract close out, preparing reports, and assisting with month end close process.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Establish financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis best practices to enhance the organization's financial decision-making capabilities.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, scenario planning, and long-term financial projections.
Translate complex financial data into meaningful insights and recommendations to support strategic planning and operational decision-making.
Manage the preparation and review of annual budgets, ensuring visibility and implementation in the company's financial system (Costpoint)
Aim to quickly understand the reporting needs and demands of the bank, and efficiently provide accurate financial reports and data to meet their requests.
Oversee the preparation of the annual government Incurred Cost Submission (ICS) and DCAA provisional indirect rate letters.
Perform detailed reporting and analysis of monthly financial information, comparing budget to actual costs, expenditures, and financial trends.
Reconcile and identify any pool or account setup issues in the financial system, coordinating with stakeholders to make necessary adjustments.
Set up new projects in fund trackers according to contract requirements and participate in contract kickoff and project status review meetings.
Monitor contract funding and coordinate with project leaders and contract admins for required notifications on limitations and requests for additional funding or submitting the risk authorization as needed.
Monitor and report performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met.
Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives.
Develop and coordinate with relevant parties to optimize the use of custom reporting tools and dashboards.
Participate in ad hoc and cross-functional projects as assigned.

Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, business intelligence, or financial planning and analysis is required.
Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI) is required.
Proficient skills in Costpoint software and the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, are required.
Prior experience working in accounting for federal government contractors is also required.
Long hours and weekends may be required to meet deliverables.
Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Self-motivated with minimal oversight.
Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
