The impact you’d drive:

The BI Engineering and Analytics CoE Senior Manager will be responsible for building a Global Centre of Excellence, tasked with creation and maintenance of business-critical, sophisticated dashboards with significant business value. They will work with their team to establish business-wide best practice guidelines, a consistent design style language and help to disseminate this across all existing and newly built dashboards in the business.

The CoE will be the central resource for highly skilled BI experts, comfortable with complex and diverse dataset manipulation, detailed requirement elicitation methods and development of intuitive, performant dashboards. The overarching idea for the CoE team will be building analytics around the end user, rather than the source systems and tools; ensuring insights are immediately apparent, tangible and resulting actions clear.

This is a global role and, as such, there will be a core focus on ensuring consolidation and alignment of reporting and analytics where a single, global view is desirable, and regional or country specific development only where a global view isn’t appropriate. The role can be situated in any of ABG’s global offices, as a hybrid or fully remote position.

What you’ll do:

• Establish a Centre of Excellence for BI development and guidelines.
• Work with external supplier(s) to stand up and resource the CoE team, with onboarding/training of internal resource over time to take over those roles.
• Integrate closely with the wider Data Enablement teams to ensure alignment of priorities, timelines and delivery.
• Act as the data and insight evangelist across the Company, accountable for the exploitation of all data to identify real-time and concrete insights.
• Develop and maintain the best-practice playbook and design style to be used across ABG, within the CoE teams and the in-business teams working with our BI tools.

You should apply if you bring:

• 5+ years’ experience leading teams delivering value through data and analytics.
• Verbal and written facilitation skills to optimally deal with various levels of management and staff.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and work with highly sensitive data and information.
• Tableau Certification desirable.
• Detailed understanding of deployment and integration of Tableau as a business-wide BI tool
• Exposure to Tableau; both Desktop and Server/Online/Cloud
• Proven understanding of programming languages such as SQL, Python and their appropriate application
• Ability to align teams behind a shared vision and build engagement in the value of a data-driven landscape
• Ability to establish relationships across all levels of seniority both internally and externally
• Experience working with Alteryx, Tableau Prep, AWS/GCP highly desirable.
• Experience managing a team working cross-regionally/remotely desirable.
