The BAE Systems site in York, Pennsylvania is seeking a
Quality Engineer for its 2nd Shift. In this role as a Quality Engineer, you will develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols in a fast paced, heavy manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring requirements are met throughout multiple processes, but primarily supporting 2nd Shift Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) Assembly and Final Operations
Required Education, Experience, & Skills - Typically requires a Bachelors degree in an engineering or technical discipline with at least four (4) years of related experience, or the overall equivalent;
- Requires a solid understanding of Quality Assurance / Quality Control fundamentals and principles;
- Experience operating within ISO 9001 standards;
- Strong background in problem solving techniques and analysis (A3, DMAIC, etc);
- Proficiency in standard and industry related software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database applications;
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills;
- Able to support 2nd Shift.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - ASQ certification;
- Experience working in a quality program in support of government contracts, preferably DoD;
- Formal training in root cause analysis.
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $83900 - $142600
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
