We are hiring an Automation Process Engineer to join our Optical Solutions team. This person will play a key role in making modifications and additions to our automation software that drives our manufacturing equipment. This will be an opportunity to develop skills needed to support our automated machinery and Labview applications.
What You Will Do
- Use machine base function to develop optical automation process for new product
- Perform equipment on site installation and automated test procedures
- Evaluate and monitor production automation equipment performance, its processes and seek improvement plan
- Maintain equipment manuals, SOP, EMS, automated scripts and workflows for process control maintenance and product configuration
- Conduct DOE or engineering tests for new product prototyping
- Make suggestions or proposal to automation design group based on DOE or process findings
- Troubleshoot equipment and perform prevention procedures
- Perform equipment and related process training to technicians and operators
- Use statistical tool to evaluate and analyze machine performance, output efficiency and product quality with related equipment process. Present data and result to multiple manufacturing teams
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to set NPI strategy, activities, timelines and production launch
- Initiate change control board and documentation
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience with automation equipment and processes
- Experience in electronics and optical products manufacturing
- Experience with automation systems and components like motion control, vision control, servo/stepper motors and optical instrumentation
- Experience with equipment setup, acceptance test, troubleshooting and support
- Hands on experience of DOE with equipment and prototyping
- Experience performing data analysis
- Experience managing process development with a variety of size and scope
What Will Put You Ahead
- Exposure to Labview in school or work environment
- Experience with machine motion control, vision control and their related language programming
- C/C++ programming experience
- Vision and motion programing skills are a great plus
For this role, we anticipate paying $90,000 - $160,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
