Territory Sales Representative - Stainless Steel and Aluminum Processing - Base Salary to 90k/year - Baltimore, MD
Our client is an aluminum/stainless steel distribution center servicing the defense, commercial construction, aerospace, automotive and fabrication industries.
The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for regional sales in PA, MD, and DE, VA, and WV. The ideal candidate will be located in Southern Pennsylvania, Northern Maryland, or Delaware.
Responsibilities:
Direct selling stainless steel and aluminum flat roll to established customers, as well as developing sales prospects within the assigned territory.
Generates sales reports each week and submits them to management
Updates client information in the company contact database
Stays on top of industry trends to identify potential opportunities for company growth
Works closely with engineers, general contractors, and inside sales to ensure that bids and proposals are completed per customer requirements
Grows profitable sales within strategic and opportunistic growth segments
Develops new prospects and interacts with existing customers to increase sales
Schedules and performs cold calls to existing customers in the assigned California markets.
Researches and provides competitive information regarding the aluminum and steel industry
Maintenance of key customers ensuring a continued base of profitable industrial business
Estimates quotes effectively /customer projects
Converts opportunities into invoiced sales
Monitors, analyzes and communicates sales data to contribute to product/service schedule and planning
Responds to customer information requests; collaborates with cross-functional departments to ensure a timely and accurate response
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
3+ years of sales experience - industrial aluminum and stainless-steel, fabrication, and/or industrial sales within the territory is a plus
Experience in calculating proportions, experience with slitting preferred
Prior experience with blue-print and CAD drawings preferred
Compensation:
Base salary in the 75k - 90k/year range, plus uncapped commission
