SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Business Operations Intern position is a temporary part-time position that assists with a wide variety of activities in support of the Marketing Department. The duration of the assignment will conform to one or both of the following: 1) the needs of the Agency and/or 2) the duration of the academic term to or for which the internship applies. However, the Agency reserves the right to end or extend the duration of the assignment at its sole discretion.
PURPOSE OF POSITION
This part-time paid internship opportunity will offer a professional learning experience to a currently enrolled college student to do meaningful and practical work related to Marketing. Students may earn college credit for this paid internship, depending on the college rules and regulations. Weekly hours up to 25, variable hours and days.
Duties & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with general administrative duties of the Marketing Department.
Assists with coordinating, and participating in events and projects that engage, promote, and inform about transportation efforts including: community engagements, public meetings, and other necessary events.
Supports content execution for SunLine’s social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and emerging platforms.
Responds to requests for information and marketing materials from internal and external customers.
Performs other tasks as assigned.
OTHER DUTIES
Written communication is clear and to the point, including proper use of grammar, punctuation and spelling.
Listen effectively and actively and remain engaged when talking with others.
Clearly articulate specific and relevant information about the Agency.
Demonstrate accountability and a willingness to take on tasks.
Display a strong willingness to work with and help other members of the SunLine team.
Ensure that the amount of work produced meets or exceeds expectations and quality standards.

Ability to: Assist in Marketing outreach events, which may require working evenings or weekends. Education: Enrollment in a college program related to marketing, communications, Digital Media, or other related field is required.
Licensure: Must possess a current, valid, and unrestricted California “C” Driver’s License.
