This Summer/Fall Trainee position is from May/June through December 13th and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in the specified location. This position is ideal for recent graduates or entry-level talent interested in jump-starting their career in a particular field. A hybrid work structure may or may not be available.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
The Information Security team at SPE is responsible for protecting company content, systems, and data from being stolen, damaged, or destroyed. Join the InfoSec team and help our business groups achieve its objectives securely and efficiently and help drive down information security risks to the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Trainee's role is to support the Information Security Awareness and Training program in meeting department objectives to reduce risk to the organization by ensuring all employees know, understand, and follow our security requirements, and behave in a secure manner. The Trainee will coordinate with the ISAT Manager to execute and deliver ISAT programs.
This includes:
- Updating and maintaining the Information Security mySPE internal webpages
- Developing video and design assets for training and awareness activities
- Preparing training materials for virtual and in-person training
- Maintaining ISAT calendar of events
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Well-developed interpersonal communication, oral, written and presentation skills; the ability to disseminate complex information in a clear, professional manner.
- Ability to prepare systems and process documentation with the use of graphics and visual aids.
- Ability to communicate in a clear, simple, and concise manner to different audiences.
- Experience with video and image editing software
- Use of Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent eye for design
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience creating graphics to enhance training material, including animated logos, intro/title screens, on screen text, lower thirds, and ending screens.
- Ability to conceive, design, and translate data points and content into compelling infographics and visuals
- Proficiency with a variety of digital photography and videography equipment
- Marketing or Communications experience
- Basic understanding of Information Security concepts
The anticipated base salary for this position is $22/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
