We have an opening for a full-time Veterinary Assistant to work in our Surgery Department as an appointment nurse. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm.
This is a great entry-level position if you are interested in pursuing specialty veterinary medicine, but would like to gain experience before making the big plunge! If you thrive in a fast-paced work environment and enjoy working one-on-one with the doctors, then this is the position for YOU. Our appointment nurses are responsible for obtaining vitals and brief history on all of our appointments. They also restrain for the examinations and assist with any radiographs or bloodwork that the patient may need.
Successful candidates are able to multitask, comfortable communicating with clients, and believe in the possibilities of high-quality veterinary medicine and outstanding patient care – and demonstrate the desire to make them happen.
