Overview:
Patagonia’s Global Network Engineering team is seeking an experienced and proven Network Engineer to provide operational support for Patagonia’s global network infrastructure. The Global Network Engineer will work closely with the various IT Operations teams to provide exceptional operational support for a regionally connected global network encompassing physical datacenters, branch, hybrid cloud environments and retail store locations.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, implement, document, and maintain network solutions and architectures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices, security and compliance standards.
- Engage in root-cause analysis and postmortem discussions to drive long-term operational improvements.
- Identify process gaps and perform continual analysis of the network and make recommendations to improve security, scalability, performance and availability. Implement solutions to streamline execution and reduce manual effort.
- Participate in software / hardware / support license tracking and purchasing.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure network availability and timely incident response, as well as afterhours work outside of a normal working schedule.

Experience you bring:
- 5+ years supporting enterprise level hybrid cloud networks, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Advanced knowledge of OSI model network protocols.
- Experience working in a DevOps / NetDevOps setting, utilizing network automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, Python and Git, and data formats like XML, JSON, and YAML.
- Experience with Cisco, Meraki and Palo Alto platforms and their respective operating and management systems.
- Proficiency in creating clear and organized network diagrams in Visio, LicidChart.
- Understanding of challenges and opportunities in wireless communication, including spectrum management and mobile security.
- Experience with POS / mPOS system security requirements.
- Working experience with PCI/DSS compliance and other network security standards such as SOX

Must be able to install network cabling and systems often requiring bending or crouching in small work areas
Hiring range: $114,000 - $124,000
Pay range: $ 114,000.00 - $172,000.00
