The Opportunity:
Plan and drive execution of Product Development projects
Manage cross-functional programs including resources, timelines, and budgets required to successfully deliver projects that meet market requirements
Interact and provide effective leadership across cross-functional teams and stakeholders including Assay Development, Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Regulatory, Quality and Clinical Affairs
Proactively identify and manage risks, issues and delays, then develop risk mitigation and contingency plans to ensure projects remain on schedule and on budget
Set priorities, develop task lists and monitor progress towards project goals while ensuring alignment of project scope with business objectives
Present project plans and regular updates to Senior Leadership throughout the project
Ideate, develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve organizational efficiency
Support Project Leader with day-to-day activities and facilitate cross-functional Core team communications and meetings
Serve as a cross-functional Project Manager responsible for coordinating efforts of Core and Extended Team members from across the organization to achieve Assay product launch objectives
Who you are:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical or scientific field
5 years experience in engineering, research and development or product development in the health care industry
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA is preferred
7+ years of experience in medical technology, diagnostics, and/or biotechnology industry
5+ years of experience and demonstrated success as a Project Manager
5+ years of experience with Class II medical device product development, design controls and ISO13485/cGMP requirements
Agile / Scrum Master / PMP certification preferred

Demonstrated leadership executing, organizing, and leading efforts to influence organizational change in a matrix environment
Able to develop project plans with input from core team using project management tools such as Smartsheet
Detail oriented to ensure all tasks, owners, due dates and dependencies are clearly articulated to team and organized in a clear project plan
Self-starter with strong problem-solving, quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to drive high performing teams to meet project goals and deliverables using relevant project management tools
Deep knowledge of project management key principles and best practices
Knowledge and use of Google Suite products

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Carlsbad, CA is $107,900 - $200,500. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
