Weld-On is the industry leading line of solvent cements, primers and cleaners, as well as applicators and other accessories for joining plastic piping systems It operates Four domestic and international manufacturing locations including the industrys only integrated and fully automated filling, labeling and packaging line.
About the Role:
This key position is responsible for the management of all activities associated with the procurement of production materials and services. The role will provide results driven leadership to the purchasing, planning, receiving, and inventory functions, coordinating all related supply chain activities to ensure that cost and value-added requirements are met. The position will be responsible for strategic sourcing including new supplier set up, supplier quality oversight and overall supplier relationships. As such, this position will be responsible for and the owner of achieving targeted reductions in total costs of manufacturing related materials. This position will need to work closely with IPSs consolidated Sourcing team to ensure participation in, adherence to corporate strategic sourcing initiatives associated with various commodity/spend groups including chemicals, packaging and logistics. The company is on the beginning of its journey to develop an integrated SIOP process and the successful candidate will assist the President and the senior leadership team with integration, both tactically and culturally.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee all activities related to the delivery of materials/components/packaging in accordance with the master production schedule/SIOP Demand plan across all Weld-On sites.
- Responsible for achieving desired Purchase Price Variance (PPV) of manufacturing related material purchases which will require building and maintaining a funnel of cost saving opportunities.
- In collaboration with Director of Procurement and VP of Operations, establish goals and development plans.
- Procurement and demand planning representation in business SIOP process.
- Continuously communicates forecast/demand information to supplier base ensuring capacity is secured and materials are always available in a high mix production environment.
- Ensures continuous supplier on time delivery without bearing additional expedite fees.
- Manages inventory levels in line with business objectives ensuring net dollar and absolute piece accuracy at all times.
- Supports new product development initiatives from prototype to full production including managing on boarding of new suppliers.
- Works closely with IPS Consolidated Procurement to implement strategic sourcing and VAVE initiatives, including balancing these initiatives with product availability and overall cost of ownership for Weld-On.
- Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability.
- Drives innovation and a focus on continuous improvement within the supply chain organization.
- Responsible for regular reporting of agreed upon KPIs including, PPV, inventory and supplier OTD and supplier quality.
- Compiles departmental budgets and assists in financial forecasting.
- Adheres to company policies, procedures and ethics code ensuring that they are implemented throughout the business.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business, engineering or supply chain
- 10 years of progressive manufacturing operations and procurement experience with at least 5 years in a Supply Chain leadership role
- Experience of implementing an SIOP process

Salary Range: $122,000 - $209,000
