Your role at Clorox:
As Assistant Accounting Manager of Technology Transformation, you will play a crucial role supporting the SAP Advanced Financial Close (AFC) platform: Clorox’s new financial close management tool. This role will support key close processes in AFC and lead the ongoing optimization of the tool & close process. This role will also work closely with Canada Accounting close team to provide ongoing RTR support in their first year going live with the new systems and processes of Project Vista.
In this role, you will:
Support AFC Stabilization and Optimization:
- Liaison between AFC business end users and IT Support team to drive efficiency in process.
- Manage financial close template, including monthly release of close task list and engaging with end users to ensure completeness and accuracy of the close.
- Onboard new AFC users and troubleshoot/support end user experience.
- Perform and support certain SOX control activities.
- Act as primary touchpoint for identification of close efficiency opportunities.
- Lead continuous optimization of AFC platform to simplify/automate close processes and drive best practices.
- Lead the implementation of future AFC version releases/upgrades & related change management.
Support Canada Accounting Close and Optimization:
- Provide ad hoc support and guidance to RTR teams in Canada post go-live, as needed
- Document and communicate issues to project teams; work collaboratively to solve problems
- Identify pain points from Wave 1 and drive solutions in Wave 2
- Periodically update leadership on progress
What we look for:
Experience Required:
Min 7+ years experience and Bachelors degree required. CPA preferred but not required. Prior experience with accounting close optimization, Consolidations, Internal Controls, SAP, or ERP implementation considered a plus.
