Position Summary:
This limited appointment functions as a Lead directing and prioritizing daily work flow for a specific area within Nutrition Services as assigned. Also, Pr. Food Service Worker functions as a cashier with responsibility for correct handling of cash transactions and maintaining satisfactory customer relationship during an assigned shift. Ensures adequate staffing and problem resolution to meet departmental standards (sanitation, customer service, etc.) Trains/orients new Food Service Workers. Assembles and delivers patient meal trays and prepares special orders. Occasionally mixes dietary supplements when directed and performs special function food and service preparation.

Salary Range:
Hourly Rate Minimum $20.29 Midpoint $23.51 Maximum $26.72
Required Qualifications:
All final candidates will be required to successfully complete an FBI fingerprinting process to comply with the University’s cash handling policies.
Skill in balancing currency, coins, checks, and credit card payments.
Must be able to meet bonding requirements for cashiering functions.
Must have a minimum 3 to 5 years prior skilled food preparation/service experience
Knowledge and practice of kitchen sanitary control techniques
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
