MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: All applicants must possess a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED; Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a related field required. Associates Degree in a related field highly preferred. Excellent verbal and written communications. Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred but not required. To perform this job successfully an individual must possess the ability to lift up to twenty pounds without assistance, multiple times during the course of the work day. The ability to perform the essential functions of the job including repeated standing, sitting, walking, grasping, bending and reaching. Satisfactory work record with regards to dependability, attendance, cooperation, attitude and other related duties as assigned by the Principal and Federal Programs Administrator or appropriate administrator.

SALARY: $17.50 per hour
WORK CONTRACT: 8.0 hours a day/260 days a year
Essential Duties
Works collaboratively with school to secure and disseminate information to families regarding current events and engagement opportunities
Work collectively with other district feeder schools and Family Engagement Specialist to assist families with transition services to kindergarten, middle school and high school
Provide families with information and resources regarding Professional Development opportunities and Parent Classes
Work schedule is aligned to support the needs of the school. Reporting directly to Federal Programs Office
Assist the building Principal in the maintenance of the school's Title I Binder
Plans and provides activities related to family involvement that would enhance the school's climate.
Works collaboratively with administrators to implement the Family Involvement Program according to state and federal guidelines.
Works collaboratively with staff and community agencies to support the needs of families and children in PreK-12th grade.
Works with parents and teachers in improving the achievement level of students via family involvement.
Assist families in identifying community resources in the areas of housing, health, public assistance, hunger, and parenting.
Plan and conduct Monthly Parent workshops and implement parent activities based on results of Family Interest Surveys.
Assists with the annual development and implementation of the school and LEA Parent and Family Engagement Policy.
Work with the building Principal and Federal Programs Office to develop a Parent Advisory Board comprised of a sufficient number and representative group of parents or family members to adequately represent the needs to the population; revising; and reviewing the Parent and Family Engagement Policy (ESSA, Section 1116(a)(2)(F)).
Required attendance at monthly professional development meetings and training opportunities.
Provides monthly reports to the Federal Programs Department.
Maintains confidentiality of information at all times.
Work collaboratively with the School Leadership Team to plan and implement school wide parent and community functions.
Work collaboratively with the building PTA/PTO president.
Serves as liaison between the District and families of Pre-K students
Serves as liaison between schools and community and parent resources for schools
