About the opportunity:

A cybersecurity project manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing cybersecurity projects that aim to protect the organization's data, systems, and networks from cyber threats. The cybersecurity project manager works with various stakeholders, such as IT staff, business units, vendors, and clients, to ensure that the project objectives, scope, budget, and timeline are met. The cybersecurity project manager also monitors and reports on the project progress, risks, issues, and quality.

Our Purpose

HP Cybersecurity is responsible for the identification and communication of cybersecurity risk within the HP ecosystem. HP Cybersecurity owns the treatment and mitigation of certain cyber risks, and works across the HP enterprise (in accordance with a defined three-line operating model) to ensure appropriate accountability across all stakeholders within HP.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and document the project scope, objectives, deliverables, and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed project plan, schedule, and budget, and track the project performance against the baseline.
  • Coordinate and communicate with the project team, sponsors, stakeholders, and vendors on the project tasks, roles, responsibilities, expectations, and status.
  • Manage the project resources, including human, financial, and technical, and ensure that they are allocated and utilized effectively and efficiently.
  • Identify and mitigate the project risks, issues, and dependencies, and escalate them as needed.
  • Ensure that the project deliverables meet the quality standards and comply with the cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular project meetings, reviews, and audits, and document and distribute the project reports, minutes, and lessons learned.
  • Facilitate the project closure, handover, and evaluation, and capture the feedback and recommendations for future improvement.

Experience and skills needed:

  • At least three years of experience in managing projects, preferably in a large and complex organization.
  • Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and/or cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) is preferred.
  • Proficient in using project management tools and software, such as MS Project, Jira, Trello, etc.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize under pressure.
  • High attention to detail, quality, and accuracy, and commitment to delivering results and meeting deadlines.
