Job Abstract

UVA’s Department of Rehabilitation is looking for an administrative specialist to support our Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Language Pathology professionals and their leaders. Our department supports patient care in the Medical Center and some ambulatory Clinics. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills. The candidate should have capacity to work independently, escalate concerns, and make decisions under supervision of leadership. Preferred Skills include:
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of Kronos
• Knowledge of, or willingness to learn Visio.
• Willingness to work with technology (cell phones, printers, computers)

Provides coordination and support for Programs.
Develops and maintains information systems including databaseselectronic files and websites.
Develops implements and maintains effective and professional office practices and procedures.
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $19.49 - $30.21 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent
Experience: 2 years relevant experience
Licensure: None required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
