NEW OPPORTUNITY: Nurse Manager Med Surg Observation (NIGHTS)

LOCATION: Houston, TX

An exciting nursing leadership opportunity has just been presented in the Houston metro area for the Med-Surg Observation Unit leader! This Nurse Manager will join the dedicated observation unit team on the night shift, managing operations, staffing/scheduling, and patient placement on the overnight shift, 11pm - 7am.

The Nurse Manager Med Surg Observation will oversee a team of RNs, Techs, Charge Nurses, and ancillary staff on this fast-paced unit prepared to facilitate patient flow from the emergency room to inpatient nursing units. The Nurse Manager will become responsible for unit budget management, policy/procedure development, and quality improvement within the unit.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing, 3+ years of experience in acute care nursing, > 1 year of experience in a progressive nursing leadership role in Medical Surgical, Observation, Emergency Services, Step-Down, Telemetry, and/or ICU.
