2nd Shift 3pm to 11:30pm (Mon-Fri)
The role Mechanic II is responsible for performing a variety of skilled mechanic work to set up production equipment, perform preventive maintenance, lubrication of equipment, and minor mechanical and facilities repair. The incumbent shall implement best practices to sustain asset reliability by participating on root cause analysis of all equipment failures.
Key Responsibilities

Performs routine preventive maintenance on mechanical and/or electrical equipment such as making regular inspections and lubricating parts.
Participates on root cause analysis and repairs all packaging and facilities equipment i.e; mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and automation systems to improve operational efficiencies and uptime.
Completes efficient equipment set-ups per the daily packaging schedule
Tracks and completes all equipment work orders and preventative maintenance work to ensure OSHA & FDA compliance inputting completed work into JDE
Fabricate parts to perform repairs and integrate new equipment installations to existing packaging lines
Clean, organize, and otherwise maintain shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies in compliance with 5S requirements.
Uses hand tools, potable power tools, machine tools, electrical/diagnostic equipment
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is responsible for maintaining equipment efficiencies and extending the life of existing manufacturing, packaging, and facilities assets. Works well in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency to deliver results. Implements best practices to sustain asset reliability by participating on root cause analysis of all equipment failures.
Critical Success Factors
You’ll be most successful in this role if you have:
Strong interpersonal skills, dealing with stressful situations and attention to detail
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or an FDA regulated industry
A continuous improvement mindset that ensures corrective/preventative actions are implemented to maintain equipment functionality and reliability
Proactive approach to resolving unplanned equipment downtime and preventative measures
Demonstrated knowledge in preventive maintenance administrative and electronics computerized records i.e., JDE, SAP, etc.
Capabilities & Skills Required
In order to take on these challenges, you’ll need to have:
A High School Diploma or GED is required. Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of the computerized maintenance management system
Strong ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and automation systems in a team setting to improve equipment performance.
Critical thinking skills for problem solving and troubleshooting equipment related issues
Fluent English skills to read/understand maintenance manuals, safety procedures, research technical publications for information, communicate with supervisors and others, and maintain routine records

Annual Pay Range
$59,963.00 - $89,995.00
This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate’s starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role. This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.
Pharmavite provides compensation for all overtime hours worked by non-exempt (hourly) employees in accordance with state and federal law. The need to work overtime hours will be determined by management, based on customer and business necessity to meet the needs of our business, Pharmavite may require employees to work overtime.
Voluntary overtime requested by non-exempt employees must be approved in advance by the employee’s supervisor.
