What you'll do:
Job duties are performed under sporadic supervision and include the following:
Properly follows all company safety policies, and TCEQ environmental/OSHA safety regulations for safe working
Hose down work site to control dust
Use hand tools and various other power tools including air saw, jack hammer, cut off saw, sledgehammer, wheel barrel, shovels, torch, fire hose and others as needed to assist in accomplishing tasks in conjunction with projects involving demolition of commercial and residential buildings and interiors
Perform various duties as ground man for equipment including maintaining fuel levels of equipment used at jobsite
Remove demolition debris
Maintain housekeeping of work site including trash pickup, keeping tools in order; proper storage of equipment at end of shift
Erect construction fencing around work areas
Serve as flagman, directing equipment traffic at work site
Complete truck tickets for pick up and delivery of job site materials
Perform other duties as assigned or required
What you'll need:
Some construction experience, preferred
Excellent communication skills
Must be 18 years of age
Working Conditions:
Must be able to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands
Works outdoors in all climates
Able to stand for extended periods of time, up to 16 hours per day
Able to climb ladders and heights of 20 feet or higher
Able to lift, carry and/or pull 50 pounds
Exposure to loud noise, machinery, chemicals, fumes, odors, dust etc.
Required to wear safety equipment including hard hat, safety glasses, goggles, steel toed boots, ear plugs, dust masks, gloves and various other similar items as required
Able to stoop, kneel and crawl, working in awkward positions for long periods
