Come work with a great team! Signet Health manages the behavioral health services for Medstar Washington Hospital Center (MWHC) and has a part-time opening for a Human Resources Generalist.
The Human Resources (HR) Generalist provides administrative support to the HR Department and will be primarily responsible for on going recruitment efforts and needs. Inclusive of posting and managing open positions, sourcing and reviewing resumes, candidate screenings, interview scheduling, and actively seeking alternative and creative recruitment avenues for the Behavioral Health Department. Other HR functions would be tasked as needed, but not limited to: maintaining spreadsheets, filing, on-boarding new hires, processing employee requests, benefits, enforcing company and hospital policies and other projects as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages recruitment efforts with up to date position postings, resume reviews, and researching creative resume sourcing avenues
Maintains accurate and up-to date human resource files, records, and documentation and maintains the integrity and confidentiality of the HR department.
Creates and edits documents i.e., memorandum, letters, internal postings, agendas, spreadsheets, charts and presentations.
Meets with new employees to go over paperwork and other on-boarding documentation.
Handles employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors and refers complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Provides an overview of company benefits to new employees upon hire and during open enrollment.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law.
Assists with employee engagement activities and other organizational wide meetings, by coordinating with vendors, placing orders and sending out announcements.
Performs other generalist duties as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience and a High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred. Must be flexible to adjust to the needs of a fast-paced environment, demonstrate effective problem-solving skills, and display excellent oral/written communication skills. Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and the ability to proficiently use Microsoft office products i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
