Witmer Public Safety Group, a 27-year-old privately owned company based in Coatesville, PA, is a distributor and wholesaler of public safety supplies with five unique brands serving the fire, law enforcement and emergency medical markets.
The Call Center Quotes Associate will respond to incoming quote requests from wholesalers and other individuals. These quotes will be issued according to WPSG guidelines and vendors restrictions to provide reasonable discounted pricing without negatively impacting the sales of WPSGs Inside and Outside Sales teams.
Location: Across from the Chester County Airport (Right off the express 30 bypass)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Respond promptly to inbound pricing requests from wholesalers and other prospective customers.
Forward leads to inside and outside sales teams when appropriate and applicable.
Review and respond to applicable bid requests in a timely manner.
Timely follow-up on open quotes to convert them into sales orders.
Follow up with lost quotes to determine the reason it was not accepted for future reference.
Learn products and continually keep informed of new products introduced online.
Establish good working rapport with customers, vendors, and other company departments.
Create a positive and professional image for the company.
Respond to verbal and written inquiries from customers.
Minimum Qualifications
Strong listening and comprehension skills to understand customer requirements and needs and provide solution options.
Ability to handle upset customers and think logically to find a business-sense solution that satisfies and keeps the customer.
Ability to make quick and accurate decisions.
Knowledge of computer systems specifically Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet.
Good mathematical aptitude for preparing and calculating quotes, shipping, etc.
Excellent computer, phone, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, managing ones own time.
Mental reasoning capabilities; to cope with tight deadlines; changing priorities; handle stress and maintain mature problem-solving demeanor.
Interest in supporting the first responder community.
Credentials and Experience
High School diploma; some college or equivalent experience preferred.
Previous experience in inside B2B sales preferred.
Previous CRM experience a plus
Previous experience in a professional work environment necessary.
