Main Duties & Responsibilities
Primary Job Role
Possess the ability to develop a B2B marine dealer and boatbuilder OEM network building the COX brand (motors, parts and service) to increase market share and optimize sales penetration while maximizing profitability. This would be an eventual shift away from current B2C (projects) model. Solicit, sign, review and service dealers and OEM boat builder accounts on at least a monthly basis. Assist with product commissioning where needed.
Possess a strong understanding of product features and benefits to design and implement dealer training programs bolstering dealer and OEM confidence in the COX brand resulting in improved sales. Training to include teaching of proper sales and walk around techniques and the development of PowerPoint or video sales presentations.
Direct and assist in various marketing functions as needed. Identify, attend and support required boat and trade shows. Advise, and assist in trade show booth designs, product layout and point of purchase materials in an effort to maximize visibility/ROI for the dealer, Ring Power and COX as the manufacturer. Post on Social media regularly.
Support product improvement and development processes through the understanding of comprehensive market segments and realistic customer demands relaying recommendations to engineering when requested.
Have a clear understanding of the warranty process through CSI analysis, customer demands, and the dealer network input effectively acting as liaison between the parties to arrive at equitable solutions for the parties concerned. Work closely with warranty/service departments and manufacturing to minimize warranty liability and costs.
Provide accurate forecasting targets to create realistic sales goals allowing for transparency to create budgets and ensure optimal inventory levels within the RPC organization. Analyze markets through consumer/competitor intelligence and statistical data to identify targets and market trends to develop open points of opportunity.
Qualify and generate outside retail leads and refer to dealer and OEM boat builder designated personnel for follow up and closing.
Possess literacy in the complete suite of Microsoft Office products and Windows operating systems and Salesforce/CRM.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
Formal Education
Associate Degree or certification equivalent in a related field of study
Experience
5-6 years

Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.
Class E Drivers License
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, Windows operating systems and Salesforce/CRM applications.
Operation of a boat 40 feet and under
Ability to travel 50% to dealers, boat builders, various industry related shows and events.
Not Required but Highly Desired Criteria
Bachelors of Science, Marketing or Business Degree from a four-year college or university or related experience.
Prior experience in delivering presentations to groups of people.
Updating of Knowledge
Job requirements change requiring re-training to stay current every 1-2 years.
