We are currently seeking a Cyber Security Solutions Engineer (Jr) to join our team in Herndon, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

Position Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Solutions Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position requires experience in Security engineering practices.

Job Duties:

• Providing consulting and solutions support for basic cybersecurity hygiene, Zero Trust, and cloud security.
• Provide consulting and solutions support for implementing core cloud security capabilities such as identity & access, data protection, security controls and compliance, vulnerability management, threat detection and response, and logging/monitoring.
• Support our innovation lab by conducting security assessments and threat models of products, environments, and code to identify potential vulnerabilities.
• Written and oral communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.

Basic Qualifications: 

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience with security engineering, to include:
  • Experience developing design specifications, test plans, and protocols.
  • Technical knowledge in one or more of the following domains:
    • Data protection and security or
    • Identity, access and permissions, or
    • Threat and vulnerability management, or
    • DevSecOps pipeline governance and security

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Implementation and/or maintenance of Cryptographic, encryption, or key management systems, or Application and interface security, or Ability to create system and process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, sequence and UML diagrams, inter and intra system dependencies within the functional domain.
• Experience writing proposal or marketing content
• Familiar with cybersecurity for on premise and cloud environments
• Must be attentive to details, organized, self-motivated, and driven.
• Experience complying with best practices
• Demonstrated strong analytic and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience supporting clients in the DoD, DHS, DoJ, or State Dept
• Demonstrated understanding of Zero Trust Architecture
