Job Summary
GENERAL INFORMATION:
The job of Early Intervention Assistant is done for the purpose/s of conducting screenings, assessments, and referrals under direction of supervising teacher or consultant; visiting families referred for services; collaborating with instructional staff, health nurse, parents/families and community organizations; providing supervising teacher with caseload updates and reviewing status of support efforts; consulting with teachers, parents, and outside professionals; serving as a liaison between families and service providers; and providing support to the work unit. Fluency in a language in addition to English preferred.
Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Job related experience is required in child development; child, family, and community; or child and family relations.
• Bachelor's degree with emphasis in child development; child, family, and community; or child and family relations preferred.
• Targeted, job related education with study in job-related area.
• Completion of a minimum of 12 semester units of course work in early childhood education or child development (excluding field work), including at least one course of at least three semester units in each of the following core areas: child/human growth an.
• CPR/First Aid Certificate
• Food Handlers/ServSafe Certificate
• Valid Driver’s License & Evidence of Insurability
