Department Marketing Statement:
Administrative Manager will directly support and serve as the extension of the vice president, responsible for overall management of departmental administrative and technical services, and special projects to guide the goals of the vice president, leadership team, department, and enterprise area as well as the overall mission of the university.
Job Duties:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all mission critical research initiative interfacing with external and internal customers, and other departments as needed to ensure successful strategy implementation
Plan and coordinate administrative procedures and systems and devise ways to streamline processes more efficiently
Oversee and supervise all business and administrative activities relating to program operations and budget
Create and maintain accurate database of various stakeholders
Develop and oversee tradeshows, conferences, programs and other events that allow external/internal individuals to review the benefits of commercialization/innovation
Receive and review invoices for accuracy, monitor costs and expenses to assist in budget preparation
Monitor office inventory and the purchasing of new material with attention to budgetary constraints
Manage communication including emails and phone calls
Plans, prepares and oversees all aspects of meetings for the Vice President, including: invitations, meeting agendas, scheduling of guests, etc
Manage the Vice President’s international and domestic travel arrangements including transportation, accommodations and reimbursement
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and five years of related experience.
Salary Range: Commensurate with experience.
