These include planning and construction, facilities, public safety and emergency operations, environmental health and safety, transportation, housing, and auxiliary/retail operations.

Among the key duties of this position are the following: Will be required to perform manual duties which are but no limited to: excavation hand work, scaffolding erection, general maintenance, painting, trench shoring installation, and working with other trades when required. Will also be required to have general operational knowledge of sewer jetting and vacuum unit, skid steer, trencher, compaction equipment, telehandler, and snow removal equipment.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience	High/vocational school education or equivalent. A minimum of three (3) years documented experience in utility and excavation experience.
Certifications/Licenses	CDL license with an endorsement. Will be required to successfully complete the Rutgers Defensive Driving Course.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities	This position requires drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal law. Requires good communication skills, the ability to follow detailed instructions from other trades when required. The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, must be able to follow and understand utility mark out designations.
