As an Assistant Facility Security Officer, you will work with the FSO, all levels of leadership, and both internal and external customers to support a variety of interesting and dynamic programs. This role provides onsite support for the site’s collateral security program.
The candidate must exercise discretion and independent judgement in performing the following tasks:
• Interpret government and internal company policies, develop and implement security plans and procedures utilizing the new 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM) as well as any other specific programmatic instruction manuals
• Full understand and implement program security requirements
• Responsible for reviewing, drafting, and ensuring compliance for all collateral DD254s
• Assist with international requirements to include government to government shipments, foreign visitor requirements, and Export Control compliance
• Provide support as necessary during emergencies
• Assist with facility construction and continued accreditation requirements
• Provide security guidance to company personnel
• Conduct security briefings as necessary
• Conduct investigations and interviews of non-compliance matters and issues relating to security violations
• Participate as a team member in the local Crisis Management Team, Site Leadership Team, Insider Threat Local Counsel, and Safety Committee)
• Completes appropriate documentation according to company and government directives
• Assist with security reviews to include Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) visits, formal self-inspections, and Staff Assistance Visits (internal audits) of other BAE Systems facilities
• Occasional support to sites in Reston and Arlington, VA
Required Education, Experience, & Skills • Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
• National Industrial Security Program (NISP) experience
• Must be able to multitask
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
• High level of personal motivation and initiative to learn and acquire new skills, and adapt seamlessly to an ever-changing security environment
• Customer focused, excellent communicator (written and verbal), and ability to work with limited supervision
• Strong organizational skills and experience with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Top Secret security clearance eligibility, with ability to obtain SCI and other special accesses

Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $78760 - $133870

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
