Technical Writer, Senior
Key Role:
Provide technical writing and editing support, to include creating and preparing programmatic and engineering documentation for the client from initial draft through finalization for delivery. Write or edit technical manuals and reports, with a primary focus on drafting new documentation. Interview subject matter experts, conduct research, and analyze technical information to distill it into clear and concise language. Leverage knowledge of technical writing best practices and DoD guidance to produce comprehensive and accurate documentation. Contribute to solutions to a variety of challenges of moderate scope and complexity.
Basic Qualifications:
8+ years of experience with technical writing and producing technical documentation
Experience with using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to create document templates
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or Business, including Business Administration, Management, Operations Management, Project Management, Supply Chain, and Logistics, or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Technology
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with military standards and specifications governing the preparation of technical documentation
Experience with using AI technology and tools to create written content
Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
