As a Software Developer, you will:
Work with a software team of 5-10 people
Work with the latest, cutting-edge technology supporting a National Priority Program.

Week in the life of Software Developer:
Develop/modify/enhance software written in C++, C#, Python, Unity in flight test applications.
Work with a real time operating system.
Develop TCP/UDP communication, especially over unreliable networks.
Work in a Linux terminal environment.
Work with real-world sensor data to determine aircraft state, e.g., dealing with uncertainty/noise, different reference geoids.
Apply software development principles in a team environment to develop and refine automated processes.
Record test or report procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and make recommendations for changes.
Create reports and other documentation necessary to describe the results of studies and/or tests.
Analyze indicated and calculated results in relation to requirements, specifications, or test objectives.
Job Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Bachelor's degree in STEM with 2-4 years of experience OR
Master's STEM degree with 0-2 years of experience
Experience with agile methodology.
Experience with Git, including GitLab administration.
Software development experience with C++, C#, Python, and/or Unity.
NOTE: THIS POSITION REQUIRES A 9/80 WORK SCHEDULE (alternating Fridays off); core hours are between 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $76,000 - $110,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
