ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Talent Acquisition and Onboarding - Partner with hiring managers to attract, recruit, and retain top talent.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to ensure a diverse and qualified workforce.
- Manage the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
- Conduct engaging and informative onboarding sessions to introduce new employees to the universitys culture, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
- Ensure employee data is entered accurately and efficiently into HRIS software.
Benefits - Assist with managing all aspects of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other perks.
- Ensure accurate and timely enrollment, changes, communications, and terminations or benefits for employees.
- Collaborate with benefits vendors and third-party administrators to resolve issues and optimize benefits offerings.
- Serve as a primary contact for FMLA, benefit inquiries and concerns.
- Assist with coordinating open enrollment, including communicating changes, deadline, and options to employees.
- Conduct an annual benefits fair to help educate employees on the benefits and resources available to them.
Performance Management - Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, coaching, and performance improvement plans.
HR Compliance - Assist in monitoring universitys policies and practices to promote fairness, equity, and legal compliance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and universitys policies in benefits administration, including HIPAA, ERISA, ACA, and FMLA.
- Assist with audits and compliance reviews.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices.
Training and Development - Assist in identifying training and development needs across the university and collaborate with departments to design and deliver relevant programs.
- Support the professional growth and development of faculty and staff.
Employee Engagement - Assist in developing and implementing initiatives to enhance employee engagement, morale, productivity and satisfaction.
- Help to foster a sense of community and belonging among faculty and staff.
Continuous Improvement - Collect feedback from new hires to identify areas for improvement in the onboarding process and make recommendations for enhancements.
- Evaluate and recommend HR software solutions and tools to enhance automation, efficiency, and user experience.
- Champion a culture of innovation within the HR department, encouraging experimentation and adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
HR Analytics and Reporting - Utilize HR data and metrics to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
- Develop reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
HR Support - Provide support for all human resource responsibilities and activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of all employment information and records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
