Developer 3, Systems Software sought by Merastar Insurance Company in Jacksonville, FL. 40 hrs./wk. Duties include:Provide tech. consulting & support for application software development or computing technologies. Develop, document & execute unit test cases. Identify & resolve complex tech. problems & issues with assigned applications & work processes. Review & recommend test plans for impacted areas & test coverage. Recommend improvements to existing processes or propose new ones, to improve the quality of project deliverables. Perform code & design reviews. Consult with internal & external customers on utilization of applications computing technologies to ensure that customers optimize value of those technologies. Lead projects within specified tech. disciplines; plan for resources needed. Develop tech. knowledge & performance skills of IS projects teams. Research, evaluate & recommend new technologies independently or with architect's implementation. Support proof-of-concept activities. Develop tech. specs, design documents, functional designs, & requirements. Support multiple software applications. Code, unit test, & debug complex business applications. Write systems design specifications for complex applications. Learn new/emerging technologies & resolve any problems involved in integrating these new/emerging technologies with our systems. Gather & analyze complex facts & data & draw inferences from the information. Address & analyze impact of system issues. Assess alternatives & present solutions to problems.
